Welcome

My name is Kieran Binchy and I am the Fine Gael candidate in the new enlarged Pembroke - South Dock Area for the May 2014 local elections. I have been the Fine Gael Councillor for the South East Inner City electoral area since 2011.

The new combined electoral area covers from the Liffey to Merrion Gates, from Portobello and Christchurch to Dublin Bay. I will continue to work with passion, commitment and energy for the residents of the South East Inner City; I also look forward to working with the residents of Dublin 4 and Milltown in the new area.

Binchy welcomes flood defence data insurance initiative

Councillor Kieran Binchy has welcomed the announcement that the Office of Public Works will share flood defence data with Insurance Ireland. The OPW will provide Insurance Ireland with data on all completed OPW flood defence schemes; insurers will take this information into account when assessing exposure to flood risk within these areas, from 1 June 2014.

Binchy backs 5-year NTA transport plan for Greater Dublin

Cllr Kieran Binchy has given his full backing to the 5-year NTA transport plan for Greater Dublin. The National Transport Authority’s Integrated Implementation Plan 2013-2018 sets out a €900m programme of investment and development in the Greater Dublin Area (Dublin, Meath, Kildare, and Wicklow) for the next five years.
