Binchy welcomes flood defence data insurance initiative
Councillor Kieran Binchy has welcomed the announcement that the Office of Public Works will share flood defence data with Insurance Ireland. The OPW will provide Insurance Ireland with data on all completed OPW flood defence schemes; insurers will take this information into account when assessing exposure to flood risk within these areas, from 1 June 2014.

Dublin community groups to benefit from Public Area Enhancement Scheme
€105,000 for Dublin City Council Cllr Kieran Binchy has welcomed the announcement of €105,000 in funding to Dublin City Council to support community groups to enhance their areas. The funding comes as part of a €3 million Public Area Enhancement Scheme announced by Minister for Environment, Community and Local Government, Phil Hogan TD.
