Determination of a new speed limit is by means of Special Speed Limit Bye-Laws as made/amended by the elected members of Dublin City Council.
The request for a 30 km/h speed limit zone in Sandymount village has been referred for consideration in the next review of the Dublin City Council Special Speed Limit Bye-laws 2011.
No date has been set for the next review but a review normally takes place approximately every two years.
