On Thursday 31 May 2012 a referendum will be held to decide if Ireland may ratify the Treaty on Stability, Cooperation and Governance in the Economic and Monetary Union (“The Stability Treaty”). This is a major decision for the people of Ireland on the future of the Irish and European Economy. I will be out campaigning for a yes vote, and will be posting here in the coming days an outline of the reasons I am supporting this Treaty – it is good for Europe, it is good for the Euro, and most importantly it is good for Ireland.
